| Polk Works is a non-profit corporation
established to oversee all workforce development programs in Polk
County. Our
initiatives include:
· One-Stop Centers bring community employment and training programs to central
locations for job seekers and employers.
· WorkForce 2020 provides assistance to employers through resources, training, consultations and engaging seminars.
· REACT
(Re-employment & Emergency Assistance Coordination Team) specialists
work with employers to avert layoffs, and provides outplacement
services.
· Young Leaders
provides at-risk teens the support and resources they need to stay in school and
prepare for work.
