Retaliation has now overtaken all other forms of discrimination alleged by employees in EEOC charges of discrimination. Additionally, nearly all major employment laws passed on the federal and state level in recent years allow for retaliation claims. This session will identify retaliatory behaviors, address how to handle undesirable behaviors to maximize employee morale and productivity and reduce potential employment liabilities. Participants will learn what existing laws are being successfully used by employees to seek redress for retaliatory behavior and proactive measures that employers can take to minimize the potential for such suits in their workplaces. This session will further explore the most critical areas of immigration law compliance that today's employer must stay ahead of including ICE audits, new Social Security no match letters, E-verify, I-9s and visa updates.
