At Polk Works, our goal is to ensure that we prepare you for employment while maintaining a professional environment at the Career Centers for all customers. Children are not permitted and following the One-Stop Career Center Dress Guidelines is required of all job seekers.
Search for Jobs on Employ Florida Marketplace
By registering with Employ Florida and posting your resume, you will be able to access a full range of features and services to assist in your career search. That includes learning what jobs you are qualified for, how much those jobs pay, and other issues of interest. You will be able to save personal information, settings, and preferences which eliminates the need to conduct repeated searches for the same information, saving you time and effort.

Free Job Readiness Workshops
Attend one or all of our free workshops on interview techniques, resume writing, dressing for success and other topics that will help you stand out from other candidates.
Schedule of Program Orientations Many of our programs schedule daily or weekly orientation sessions to provide information on how to qualify for services.
Career Development You may qualify for one-on-one career counseling after attending our "Work First" training program (WIA). Click here for a list of frequently asked questions regarding this program.
Career Resource Room If you do not have access to a computer, Polk Works Research Room is your office for career search. Available on a first-come basis as time permits.
Identify Your Skills or Obtain Training Find out how you can improve your computer skills and earn the Florida Ready to Work Credential. We also provide a variety of career assessment tools to help you identify what types of jobs you would like and determine which jobs best suit your personality and training.
