Workforce 2020
Polk
Works WorkForce 2020 is a nationally acclaimed initiative of the Polk County
Workforce Development Board, Inc. and the economic development councils of Polk County. This cooperation provides valuable solutions to businesses
in order to maintain a healthy economic climate. We have presented
programs to numerous groups, including the National Association of WorkForce
Boards in Washington, D.C., Florida Workforce Summit, Southeastern Employment
and Training Association and International Association of Personnel in
Employment Security. Our name comes from the book Workforce 2020, written by The
Hudson Institute, which outlines the importance of progressive adaptation by
businesses to the changing workforce.
